Albert Hsieh, Ph.D. Dr. Hsieh is passionate to develop precision diagnostics tools to improve human’s health in the past 20 years. He founded Genpedia, which endeavors to develop benchtop robotic system with assay for sample prep of liquid biopsy. He has multidisciplinary practical experience in developing biomedical devices, such as endoscopic OCT for GI track tumor (Beckman Laser Institute), Digital PCR biochip (ITRI), sample-to-answer biochip (GenMark), automation system for sample preparation of NGS (Invitrogen/Life Technologies, Illumina), and Hemostasis analysis biochip, etc. He has also worked as a salesman/customer engineer in marketing department of electronics and semiconductor companies, as well as a R&D Engineer in Micro System Lab of Industrial Technology Research institute while he was in Taiwan. Dr. Hsieh received his doctoral degree in engineering from UC Irvine, master’s degree from Chemical Engineering and Material Science Dept. of USC. Stan Yang, Ph.D
Dr. Stan Yang has 36 years experience in the field of implantable devices, including 16 years in intraocular lenses, and 20 years in tissue regeneration materials. He has led projects from conception, to regulatory approval, production and commercialization. He is the key inventor of 23 patents, including 20 patents in the field of IOL, and 2 patents in tissue regeneration. Dr. Stan Yang is the founder of Unicare Biomedical, Inc. (www.unicarebiomedical.com), which manufactures and distributes tissue regeneration products for dental and orthoepedic applications. Dr. Yang received his EMBA from University of California, Irvine and PhD degree in polymer science from University of Akron, Ohio.
